Strange, how as we see those we love peel away around us, we get closer and closer to the truth.  Like the skin of an onion. 

Even sadness is a blessing.

It reminds us that in fact, we possess the capacity to love.

It reminds us in fact, that we are human.

Which in turn reminds us from whence the gift of our humanity has come...
